Nurses practice with intentionality, grounded in the philosophy of caring-healing praxes where the client ‘s worldview is always the primary source of information; relationships between nurse and client are transpersonal; and the nurses’ role is to  nurture and facilitate clients’ health-directed sense of affiliated-individuation as unitary beings, groups, or communities.

SAMRM is committed to advance holistic nursing praxis based in integral relations between philosophy and scientific knowledge inherent In the theory and paradigm of Modeling and Role-Modeling (MRM), and artistically co-created by nurse and client.

Purpose Statement

To advance the development and application of the theory and paradigm Modeling and Role-Modeling by:

  • Supporting the client’s worldview as the primary source of information.
  • Promoting the continuous study, integration  and dissemination of the theoretical propositions and philosophical underpinnings through research, practice, and continued education.
  • Developing a network for the support, stimulation, and growth of the membership through newsletters, conferences, and membership meetings.
  • Disseminating knowledge and information through conferences and publication of conference proceedings, professional publications, presentations, discussions with colleagues, and publication citations.
  • Addressing societal needs by contributing to improvement of health care through proactive promotion of holistic health within the premises of holistic nursing.
